Here is an exceptional 1969 Gibson ES-150DC in gleaming cherry finish and near-mint original condition with no issues. 1969 was the first year for this new model that has looks like a 335 but has a hollow body that is 2-11/16th inches deep. Total production for the ES-150D from 1969 through 1975 was 2,410 when it was discontinued. The ES-150DC (cherry finish) was only produced in 1969; 111 were made for a 5% portion of total production. By contrast, there were 616 ES-150DN (natural finish) and 1683 ES-150DW (walnut finish) produced during the overall production run from 1969 – 1976.
This guitar is in near-mint original condition with all original parts and its original Lifton hard case with zipper case cover. It has the standard twin Patent-# humbucking pickups that sound great with a nice range of tones. The ES-150D also had a master volume control on the top treble body side that works very well with the tone and volume controls for added versatility.
Overall, this is an excellent and rare Gibson electric archtop that is comfortable to hold and very easy to play. The matching Lifton hard case and case cover complete the package.
